…Says MUGA Team, a cabinet of Urhobo’s finest professionals

Ahead of the  general elections of the Urhobo Progress Union, the apex social cultural organization of the Urhobo nation,, a group, Project Rescue Urhobo (PRU) has endorsed Chief Simeon Ohwofa for the position of President General.

The group with  prominent Urhobo sons and daughters across the 24 kingdoms and the Diaspora, cited the need for competent and courageous leadership with strategic vision to drive UPU as reasons for endorsing Owhofa.

The group, in a statement by Prince Noble Otadafebue, Comrade Sane Peter E Darah, Mrs Joan Agboro-Scheil, and other top executive members of PRU disclosed that the group arrived at the decision after intensive consultations with key stakeholders across the Urhobo nation.

The group urged  delegates to vote massively for Chief Simeon Owhofa and other members of the Make Urhobo Great Again (MUGA) team.

Those endorsed by the Project Rescue Urhobo include Chief Simeon Ohwofa for President General, Mr. Abraham Ogbodo, for Second Deputy President General,

Patrick Origho for Secretary General, Prof. Sunny Awhefeada for Publicity Secretary, Prof. Dicta Ogisi for Treasurer, and Prof. Rose Aziza for Financial Secretary.

Others are Dr. Brown Umukoro for Legal Adviser, Dr. Uwheru Benson for Assistant Secretary General, Chief Veronica Ajuebon for Assistant Publicity Secretary and Mr. Matthew Ogagavworia for Auditor.

According to the group, the strength of the MUGA Team is its professional caliber and commitment to Institutional Reform.

The group emphasised further that the MUGA Team is a cabinet of Urhobo’s finest professionals who are ready to implement a fundamental change in governance.

“’We are endorsing them because they possess the courage, strategic depth, and professional competence required to lead Urhobo to rise. 

“The MUGA team would be committed to uncompromising advocacy, deep consultation and global partnership that will transform the UPU into a global player by establishing a Strategic Global Development Desk to partner with the diaspora for investment and expertise.

‘’The choice before every Urhobo delegate is either to vote to remain victims of weak leadership or to vote for a new era of strength and discipline. 

“Project Rescue Urhobo urges all critical stakeholders to look inward in order to vote to inject fresh breath, progress, and unwavering strength into the UPU Secretariat’’, the statement added.
