Lagos -The Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, leader, Pastor Evelyn Joshua has called on Nigerians to enter the coming year with renewed hope, steadfast faith and absolute trust in God.
Speaking at a thanksgiving service, which drew a large congregation from within and outside the country, featuring soul-lifting worship, testimonies, choir renditions at the church’s premises in Lagos, Pastor Joshua urged believers not to lose focus amid national and personal challenges, explaining that God remains the ultimate source of strength and direction.
Expressions of gratitude for what members described as a year of divine intervention, Pastor Joshua said: “As you live to the coming year, I encourage you all, hold onto God with absolute trust. Walk with Him boldly, expectantly, and joyfully. For the path of the righteous is like the shining sun that shines ever brighter onto the perfect day. In this ministry, better is not good enough, the best is yet to come.”
She expressed profound gratitude to God for sustaining the church through the year, noting that despite trials, the ministry witnessed continuous growth and divine favour.
“My heart overflows with gratitude to God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and of Prophet TB Joshua. He is the God who speaks, who leads, and who never fails. Give thanks to God, for He is good; His mercy endures forever.”
Joshua described 2025 as a year in which God fulfilled His promises to the church, saying events unfolded exactly as revealed by the Holy Spirit.
She characterised the outgoing year as a “forward-looking year,” marked by breakthroughs and testimonies across different areas of life.
According to her, God moved His people “from sickness to healing, from lack to abundance, and from disappointment to divine appointments,” adding that many members experienced restoration in their families, businesses and spiritual lives.
She also highlighted the ministry’s increased global outreach and physical expansion, saying SCOAN had continued to touch lives through its humanitarian activities, prayer line services, and evangelism efforts.
The thanksgiving service featured extended praise sessions, testimonies from members who recounted healings, blessings and answered prayers, as well as special moments of reflection on the legacy of the church’s founder, Prophet TB Joshua.
Members expressed optimism about the coming year, saying they believed the ministry would continue to experience greater victories and spiritual impact.
