Dr. Emem Aniekanabasi Alban, renowned agronomist, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, has been officially recognized as one of the 100 Persons of the Year 2025, an honour bestowed under the distinguished umbrella of the 40 Under 40 Nigeria Awards.

The event, held at The Ballroom, Oriental Hotel, Lagos, brought together outstanding Nigerian changemakers whose work continues to shape national development and global relevance.

The 8th edition of the 100 Persons of the Year celebrates individuals whose leadership, innovation, and social impact are transforming Nigeria’s economic, humanitarian, and professional landscapes. Dr. Alban’s inclusion in this elite class is widely regarded as a testament to her influence in agribusiness, women’s empowerment, and food security advocacy.

A Leading Voice in Nigerian Agribusiness and Food Security

Dr. Emem Alban, the Founder and CEO of Emani Farms Giant Ltd, has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s most committed advocates for sustainable agriculture and community resilience. Her work spans agribusiness development, rural empowerment, and proactive engagement in national conversations on hunger, malnutrition, and poverty reduction.

A trained agronomist, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Brewing Science and Technology and a Master’s degree in Crop Science from the University of Uyo. She further enhanced her leadership capacity by completing the Global Business Leadership Development Program at the prestigious Rome Business School.

Through her organizations and initiatives, Dr. Alban continues to champion policies and models that support:
