After its unveiling on 7 September 2025, De9jaspirit Talent Hunt (DTH) Season 4 quickly proved to be Africa’s most captivating and culturally dynamic talent show yet. This season introduced an impressive array of creative elements collaborative performances, survival showdowns, throwback grooves, and fiercely contested weekly best-performance battles. From the very beginning, it became clear that Nigeria is abundantly blessed with creative young talents ready to shine on a global stage.

Starting with 22 contestants competing for the grand prize of ₦30 million, Season 4 unfolded through electrifying performances, intense voting rounds, emotional evictions, and unforgettable entertainment moments.

The first episode set the tone for an epic season, introducing the full lineup of Season 4 contestants in their purest brilliance. Viewers witnessed the angelic voice of Chris Vic, the visually impaired singer whose heavenly vocals draw instant admiration; the unbelievable flexibility of Body Engine, the 7-year-old contortionist whose robotic precision stunned the audience; and the soothing depth of Paskal, whose vocal charisma filled the hall, alongside Big Soma, whose soft, melodious voice melted hearts with ease.

The night also showcased the poetic force of TheGlobalPoet, whose spoken-word performance painted vivid and unfiltered portraits of societal reality; the comic originality of Da Messenger; and the mind-blowing artistry of Jeremiahfj Sax, a creative genius whose mastery of the saxophone goes far beyond his years.

The deep and powerful expressions of Loveth Liberty, leaving the audience with food for thought; the vocal strength of Hailwin; and the power vocals of Glory Henry kept the momentum high and the audience lifted. Dance acts like Cloud 9 Dancers and The Elite Kings Dance Crew displayed outstanding precision, while Lexi charmed with lyrical finesse.

Neji Irregular, the fantastic spoken-word artist, delivered his piece with magnetic depth, strong diction, and a commanding stage presence that immediately set him apart. Blessed Ikpi, the melodious singer, while MC Olaks brought unmatched showmanship. Phoenix TheMagician dazzled the audience with stunning illusions, and the tireless excellence of KSS Dance Crew and Team Unbeatable DC raised the bar even higher.

Kidsteppers Academy brought youthful vibrance to the stage, T-Jay captivated the room with his soulful, stirring vocals, and Precious Isime with her crystal-clear delivery, expressive depth, and elite spoken-word control instantly established herself as one of the major contenders of the season. It was one of DTH’s most powerful opening nights.

TheGlobalPoet, Body Engine, Chris Vic, and Jeremiahfj Sax were nominated for the Best Performance of the Week, with TheGlobalPoet emerging as the winner of the ₦500,000 prize sponsored by Vent Africa.

Episode 2 brought emotionally charged and deeply insightful presentations. Isime Precious set the tone with a romantic poetry performance featuring Judge Vector tha Viper, touching viewers to their core. Team Unbeatable Dance Crew delivered a captivating storytelling dance piece, while Loveth Liberty presented a poetic reminder of Fela Kuti’s distinction between the African Woman and the Lady.

T-Jay’s soulful rendition of “Can’t Kill My Soul” stirred the studio, and young Jeremiahfj Sax delivered a brilliant Lagbaja performance on the saxophone. The episode closed with T-Jay, Team Unbeatable DC, Isime Precious, and Body Engine nominated for Best Performance, with Isime Precious earning the win.

The collaborative spirit of Episode 3 showcased pairings like TheGlobalPoet & Team Unbeatable DC, T-Jay & Glory Henry, Kidsteppers Academy & KSS Dance Crew, Paskal & Hailwin, and Chris Vic & Big Soma. The presence of Nigerian dance queen Kafayat “Kaffy” Shafau as guest judge elevated the energy of the night.

TheGlobalPoet & Team Unbeatable DC’s performance on drug abuse stood out strongly and earned them the Best Performance award with nominations also including Paskal & Hailwin, Kidsteppers Academy & KSS, and Lexi & Phoenix.

Episode 4 brought legendary guest appearances from actress Bimbo Akintola and producer ID Cabasa. The episode, themed “Throwback Groove,” reintroduced classic African music to the DTH stage.

The 13-year-old Jeremiahfj Sax revived Victor Uwaifo’s “Joromi,” Lexi channeled Osadebe’s “Osondi Owendi,” and Chris Vic brought back “We Are the World.” The stage glowed with colorful African outfits representing different ethnicities.

Evictions followed for Loveth Liberty, Big Soma, Cloud 9 Dancers, MC Olaks, Blessing Ikpi, and The Elite Kings Dance Crew, while Jeremiahfj Sax clinched the Best Performance award.

Episode 5 introduced the heated Survival Showdowns with pairs such as Body Engine vs Chris Vic, Paskal vs TheGlobalPoet, Glory Henry vs Da Messenger, T-Jay vs KSS Dance Crew, and Jeremiahfj Sax vs Kidsteppers Academy.

Jeremiahfj Sax earned his second consecutive Best Performance award, while Phoenix TheMagician and T-Jay were evicted.

Episode 6, themed “High Voltage,” pushed contestants to bring their absolute best. Precious Isime, Glory Henry, Body Engine, and Da Messenger were nominated for Best Performance, with Glory Henry taking home the ₦500,000 prize.

Episode 7, the second collaboration week, showed once again how powerful African creatives become when they merge ideas. Pairings such as Isime Precious & KSS Dance Crew, Jeremiahfj Sax & Glory Henry, Da Messenger & Neji Irregular, Paskal & TheGlobalPoet, and Chris Vic & Team Unbeatable DC lit up the stage.

Chris Vic & Team Unbeatable DC delivered what many described as the greatest performance ever seen on the DTH stage, earning them the Best Performance award. Meanwhile, Lexi and Hailwin were evicted.

Episode 8, the quarterfinals and prelude to the semifinals, was a tense all-or-nothing showdown. Jeremiahfj Sax secured his third Best Performance win, with nominees including Team Unbeatable DC, Glory Henry, and Body Engine.

The semifinal episode (Episode 9) elevated the intensity even further. Stage battles included Team Unbeatable DC vs KSS Dance Crew, Body Engine vs Jeremiahfj Sax, Isime Precious vs Kidsteppers Academy, TheGlobalPoet vs Da Messenger, and a triple clash between Chris Vic, Paskal, and Glory Henry.

Special appearances by Promise Effiong (Season 3 second runner-up) and Abbey (Season 3 finalist) added excitement. Kidsteppers Academy and KSS Dance Crew were evicted, while Neji Irregular was disqualified due to misconduct. Only nine contestants earned a place in the grand finale.

The grand finale is set to feature outstanding guest acts including Little Princess Annabel & Her Crew, The Exoduz Dance Crew, previous winners, and Molly TheVibes, the first runner-up of Season 3.

With ₦30 million for the winner, ₦7 million for the first runner-up, and ₦3 million for the second runner-up, the anticipation is at an all-time high. The question remains: who will emerge as the Season 4 Champion of De9jaspirit Talent Hunt?

Beyond the competition, Season 4 delivered powerful, life-changing messages some spoken and some communicated silently through performance. The season also recorded exceptional digital milestones, reflecting DTH’s rising influence worldwide.

Global Poet & Paskal’s collaboration reached 2.9 million views on TikTok and 1.5 million on Facebook. Their stage battle earned another 1.1 million TikTok views. Chris Vic & Team Unbeatable DC achieved 12.1 million views and 1.5 million likes on TikTok, alongside 1.5 million Facebook views.

Jeremiahfj Sax’s gospel and hip-hop performances earned 3.8 million and 2.4 million views respectively, while his Lagbaja tribute pulled 1.1 million views. Isime Precious’ poetic eulogy for Vector hit 1.2 million views.

On Facebook, Isime Precious & Kidsteppers Academy’s pregnancy performance crossed 1 million views; Paskal’s Davido/Flavour medley hit 4 million views; and Chris Vic’s worship performance gained over 3 million views.

These numbers reflect DTH’s continuous growth and its ability to amplify African talent to millions. The show remains Africa’s only talent platform that accommodates unlimited talent categories, as long as the act can be performed on stage.
