I want to be part of telling Nigeria’s stories to the world — Content creator, AnChi Vibes

Nigerian content creator, Chioma Anyanwu, popularly known as AnChi Vibes, has said that Nigeria’s entertainment has so much to offer and she wants to be part of the wave that tells its stories to the world.

With more than 900,000 TikTok followers and a growing Instagram audience, AnChi has established herself as a storyteller and culture connector in an industry teeming with creators.

Her content blends entertainment, analysis, and cultural commentary, giving her audience both access and perspective on the moments that shape Nollywood, Afrobeats, and beyond.

“For me, it’s never just about creating videos, it’s about telling stories that connect with people, whether it’s Nollywood, reality TV, or music,” she said in an exclusive interview.

Her impact has already been recognized on major stages. At the TikTok Sub-Saharan Africa Awards 2024, she became the first Nigerian to clinch two honors in one night, winning Creator of the Year and placing as Runner-Up for Entertainment Culture Creator.

In recent months, her coverage of cultural flashpoints has drawn wide attention. Earlier in 2025, she was the only Nigerian commentator featured on BBC Africa during coverage of the trending #JP2025 wedding between Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo.

She also received an invitation from the United States Embassy to attend America’s 249th Independence Day celebration in Lagos, where she engaged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and interviewed the Acting U.S. Consul General.

“That invitation meant a lot to me because it showed that our work as creators is being seen on bigger stages, beyond just social media. It’s proof that content creation is part of Nigeria’s soft power,” she explained.

From Headies Awards nights to Nollywood premieres and high-profile fashion events, AnChi has consistently positioned herself at the heart of Nigeria’s entertainment pulse, amplifying its reach to global audiences.

But for her, the vision extends far deeper. “I see myself as more than a creator, I’m a storyteller, an analyst, and a culture connector. My goal is to make Nigerian entertainment not just locally celebrated, but globally understood and appreciated,” she said.

As Nigerian creators increasingly shape global conversations, AnChi Vibes stands as part of a new wave determined to ensure that the country’s cultural footprint is not just seen but fully understood on the world stage.

Or, in her own words: “I want to be part of the wave that tells Nigeria’s stories to the world.”
