In an impressive display of innovation and teamwork, students from the Lagos State University of Science and Technology, LASUSTECH, Ikorodu, have emerged victorious at the Cavista Hackathon 2025, which was held at the Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos.
The Cavista Technologies’ Hackathon supports students’ experiential learning, focusing on fostering innovation and unlocking collaborative opportunities for every student. The students involved all developed cutting-edge technology skills through hacking challenges. The hackathon is great practice to work in teams to tackle problems, as they would as full-time employees after graduation.
According to the General Manager of Cavista, Mrs. Oyebola Morakinyo, the third edition of the Hackathon event was aimed at tapping into the knowledge of young Nigerians, and empowering them to utilize technology in solving real life problems, through technological innovative ideas.
The brilliant minds behind this success who claimed the top prize (Team Stark Underflow) were: Ohieku Eneji Peacemaker 300L Mechatronics, while Ituma Chidi Moses, Onyeka Joshua Ituma, and Makanjuola Emmanuel Iseoluwa are 200L Computer Science students.
