The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. ’Bosun Tijani, has reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to empower Nigeria’s youth with vital digital skills.

Tijani made the fresh commitment when he recently toured the Teesas Education Learning Centre, a key training hub and Applied Learning Cluster (ALC) within the 3 Million Technical Talent, 3MTT, initiative situated in Lekki, Lagos.

The 3MTT programme, led by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, is strategically designed to develop a robust pipeline of skilled technical talent that will power Nigeria’s digital economy.

At Teesas Education Learning Centres in Lekki and Ikeja, youths receive hands-on training in Product Management, UI/UX Design, Software Development, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), Cloud Computing, Game Development, Data Analysis, Animation, and Quality Assurance.

These skills position participants to thrive in the evolving digital workforce, contributing to Nigeria’s technology-driven growth.

In his speech, the Minister said: “Our aim is to create an enabling environment where indigenous technology companies can thrive, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the Nigerian economy.

“By investing in our people and their digital skills, we are setting the foundation for a sustainable, tech-driven future.”

The visit included tours of the companies’ facilities, where Tijani witnessed firsthand the technological innovations and ongoing projects that aim to empower Nigeria’s youth.

Representatives from both Imose Technologies and Teesas Education expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations with the ministry, emphasizing their shared goal of building a skilled and competitive workforce.

Dr. Tijani engaged directly with participants, hearing first-hand about their experiences and the programme’s impact on their career prospects.

On his own, Chairman and Founder of Teesas Education and Imose Technologies, Mr. Osayi Izedonmwen, said: “This initiative is not just about training, it’s about transforming lives and ensuring that Nigerian youth are well-prepared for future careers in technology.”

He explained: “The Teesas Learning Centre operates as a hybrid, technology-enabled space also offering real-time, computer-based WAEC, UTME, and post-UTME coaching, accessible via the Teesas Education App on iOS and Google Play.

“This flexibility ensures students across Nigeria can benefit from quality education online and offline, addressing digital inclusivity and enabling access to resources previously limited by geographic barriers.
