Having contributed to numerous film projects such as October 1, Black Book, Ijogbon, Anikulapo amongst other ground-breaking productions, the accomplished photographer and filmmaker is excited to embark on personal projects in film and documentary this year.
He expressed that, “These will offer me the chance to explore new creative territories and share compelling narratives with audiences worldwide.

“Also, I am eagerly seeking collaborations with like-minded individuals and organizations who share a passion for pushing the boundaries of storytelling and creativity. T
“ogether, we can create impactful and unforgettable cinematic experiences that resonate with audiences far and wide.”
Okosun’s journey as a filmmaker and photographer has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence. He believes in the transformative power of cinema to convey complex emotions, challenge perspectives, and provoke thoughts.

Whether behind the camera or behind the scenes, he strives to infuse every project with authenticity, creativity, and emotional depth. Each project is a testament to his unwavering dedication to his craft and his ability to capture the essence of the human experience through his lens.
Reminiscing on his just concluded photo exhibition showcasing the creative process behind Anikulapo – Rise Of The Spectre produced and directed by Kunle Afolayan, he explains that, “Each photograph in my collection tells a unique story about the creative process behind project as we don’t just take pictures of actors, we capture artistic images of nature, scenery and everything that inspires me on set.
“Whether it’s capturing the director’s vision taking shape or the actors embodying their characters, each image offers a window into the collaborative effort that brings stories to life on screen. Looking at other projects, I believe my exhibitions will impact viewers by offering them a glimpse behind the curtain of the filmmaking process, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation for the art form. By showcasing the dedication, creativity, and passion that goes into every production, I hope to inspire aspiring filmmakers and audiences alike.”
Driven by a desire to push the boundaries of storytelling and create cinematic experiences that resonate with audiences worldwide, he is constantly seeking new creative challenges and collaborations. His ultimate goal is to continue telling good stories and shooting great films that leave a lasting impact on viewers long after the credits roll. With the coming in of platforms like Netflix, Showmax, and Prime Video, Okosun believes the future of filmmaking in Nigeria is even more promising.
He says, “We are witnessing a surge in opportunities, thanks to a growing pool of talent, with access to technology and resources, and an increasingly diverse audience eager to engage with a wide range of stories and perspectives. As the industry continues to evolve and mature, I firmly believe that Nigerian cinema will experience even greater innovation, diversity, and international recognition.”
