HIS Holiness, Pope Francis, has appointed Monsignor Thomas Obituaegwu from Uli, Ihiala local government area of Anambra State as Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Orlu, Imo State. Uli is part of Orlu Catholic Diocese.

Monsignor Obiatuegwu will be formally ordained March 20, 2024 at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church, Orlu. 

Thereafter, he will be hosted to a grand reception by the Uli community on 23rd March 2024 at St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Uli.

Until his appointment, Monsignor Obiatuegwu was the Parish Priest of St Thomas’ Catholic Church, Umuna where he was assigned the Titular See of Horrea Coelia.
