For many, music is a hobby or a form of entertainment, but for Adeleke Emmanuel Omosuyi popularly known as Amota Dking, it’s more of a lifestyle and a tool for transformation.
The Afro pop Ghanaian-based Nigerian artist, who went through tough times while growing up believes in the transformative power of music, which he said shaped his life for the better.

“From a young age, I was drawn to the sounds and melodies that filled the air. It was as if music flowed through my veins, beckoning me to pursue it.
“As I delved deeper into my musical journey, I discovered that music was not just a passion but also a calling. It became clear that a career in music was my path, and I embarked on a transformative journey that would shape my life forever. I faced so many challenges while growing up but my career transformed my life,” he recounted.
The ‘Irawo’ crooner said that the music industry is not for the faint hearted, adding “it requires dedication, perseverance, and resilience.” He said music has taught him the importance of hard work, discipline and continuous growth.
According to him, “The pursuit of excellence in my craft has not only honed my musical skills but it has also shaped me into a person who is determined, focused, and willing to overcome challenges. The constant need to adapt and evolve in an ever-changing industry has taught me invaluable lessons in flexibility and resilience. With the high rates of demand both in production and marketing in our industry it’s not easy to scale through especially as an independent artist. Through music, I have found my voice, grown as an individual, formed meaningful connections and made a positive impact on others. It has taught me the importance of perseverance, self-expression, and the power of art to change lives.”
