THE leadership of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, MWUN, yesterday, suspended a strike it embarked upon to press for a minimum payment standard across the Nigerian maritime industry.

Against the backdrop of a relative stability in the first quarter 2023, Nigeria has recorded a slight decline in trade balance at N927.16 billion, about 6.98 percent against N996.8 billion in the preceding quarter, Q4’22.

THE Organised Labour made up of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, yesterday agreed to suspend its planned strike scheduled to begin tomorrow to enable further negotiations with the Federal Government.
