In a powerful move to elevate rising African fashion visionaries, the Africa Fashion Foundation (AFF) has officially selected Goodluck Jane Okwuchukwu, the Creative Director behind luxury label Boriah Couture, to join its January 2023 cohort for its Ambassador Collective Programme.

This announcement follows an intensive selection process that reviewed a wide array of talented designers from across the continent. Goodluck Jane stood out for her refined creative vision, innovative construction techniques, and compelling ability to merge culture with couture. Her selection reinforces AFF’s mission to spotlight the next generation of African designers driving authentic narratives and excellence in craftsmanship.

“We were incredibly impressed by Goodluck Jane’s portfolio,” said a spokesperson from Africa Fashion Foundation.

“Her dedication to detail, storytelling through fashion, and her clear brand direction made her an ideal choice for this year’s cohort.”

Launched to empower emerging designers with global potential, The Ambassador Collective Programme provides strategic support including mentorship, production funding, market access, and international collaborations. As a participant, Goodluck Jane will gain valuable resources to expand the reach and impact of Boriah Couture, a brand recognised for its opulent design language and cultural depth.

Boriah Couture continues to gain momentum as a luxury fashion house that reimagines African regality for the modern woman. With pieces characterised by intricate embellishments, rich textiles, and dramatic silhouettes, the brand speaks to a global audience while remaining deeply rooted in its African heritage.

“This opportunity is more than recognition; it’s a platform to expand, to connect, and to carry our cultural elegance beyond borders,” said Goodluck Jane Okwuchukwu.

“I’m incredibly honoured and ready for the journey ahead,” she added.

Her selection is not only a personal milestone but also a powerful affirmation of the global relevance of African fashion voices.

Africa Fashion Foundation is a non-profit organisation committed to creating pathways for African fashion professionals through education, funding, and global partnerships.
