CALABAR—The lawmaker representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency, Cross River State,  Mr Daniel Asuquo, has called on party leaders, stakeholders and the people of Cross River State to encourage Prof Ben Ayade and support him to return as governor in 2019.

He made the call in Calabar, yesterday, while briefing journalists on his decision to contest the Akamkpa/Biase federal constituency as well as allegations of sponsoring protests against Governor Ayade.

He said: “I believe that the governor should go back to the Northern senatorial district, with due respect to the politics of Cross River State,  everybody has a shot at eight years. I believe Governor Ayade is capable to present himself and I will support him if he does.”
