Undergraduate steals $1,600 from fiance’s in-law

A 200 Level student of a Northern state’s university has been arrested for allegedly stealing $1,600 from her fiance’s in-law’s safe and exchanging it with fake ones at Ago-Okota area of Lagos State.

IMF forecasts 0.8% economic growth for Nigeria

THE International Monetary Fund (IMF), yesterday, said Nigeria is expected to emerge from recession this year with an economic growth of 0.8 percent, but warned that threats to recovery remained elevated, and that the economy will not grow enough to reduce unemployment and poverty. The IMF, therefore, advised the Federal Government to pursue a policy of fiscal consolidation through higher non-oil revenues, to ensure stability in growth.

Osinbajo’s meeting Qwith PANDEF: Forget dialogue, declare N-Delta Republic—Groups

AHEAD of today’s meeting of Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo with leaders of Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, led by Chief Edwin Clark, pan-Niger Delta civil groups, yesterday, told PANDEF, that the meeting had been overtaken by events, advising the group to, instead, declare a Republic of Niger Delta and call for a referendum.
