BIRNIN KEBBI—THE Federal Government, yesterday, declared that it would re-construct Bama town in Maiduguri, Borno State, which was damaged by Boko Haram, to a modern city.

This came as All Progressives Congress, APC, governors urged Nigerians to continue to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari’s quick recovery.

The Federal Government also vowed to rehabilitate all internally-displaced persons, IDPs, camps in the North so that the affected persons will live in good condition like other Nigerians.

Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, stated these at the opening of a retreat on policy synergy between states and the Federal Government in Birnin Kebbi.

Meanwhile, Chairman, APC Governors Forum, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, has said though the President is recuperating, he needs prayers from Nigerians so that he will return to the country to continue to run the affairs of the nation.

He made the plea at Government House in Birnin Kebbi, shortly after the meeting of the forum, where he commended Governor Abubakar Bagudu for his administration’s efforts in boosting rice production in the state.
