—Says; DJ’ing in Nigeria is crap
Popular music producer turned artiste, Sunday Ginikachukwu Nweke, better known as ‘Masterkraft’, has taken a bold swipe at Nigerian DJs for lack of creativity in their craft. In an exclusive interview with Showtime, the multi-talented producer turned singer, who has carved a niche for himself in the music industry as a music producer of repute and with a pedigree for producing award-winning beats for the likes of Wizkid, Banky W, Flavour, CDQ, and many others, blasted Nigerian DJs, saying what they do is crap.

“I feel like DJ’ing in Nigeria is a little bit crappy and messed up; I actually produce for some of the popular DJs that you know out there, but they make the job look like an A’list artiste performing his soundtrack or his CD playing. I feel like the work of a DJ/Producer is to recreate songs on stage; because if it’s just to play a track by an artiste then you can go to Alaba and buy a mix and play at your party; it’s the same thing”, he retorted.
