The renewed steps by the Federal Government to bring lasting peace to the restive Niger Delta region, against the backdrop of Acting President Yemi Osinbajo’s, tour of the region, has been described  by Niger Delta youth activist, Oweilaemi Pereotubo, as good omen for the nation’s economy.

Pereotubo,  one of the top contenders for the Presidency of Ijaw  Youth Council, IYC, seat, hinted that besides stimulating economic growth through increase in production of crude oil, for the very first time since the inception of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, the government has shown genuine commitment towards addressing the long neglected oil-rich region.
