Three wounded, vehicles destroyed as rival groups protest Edo Assembly’s Pension bill amendment

THREE persons were injured while two vehicles were destroyed, yesterday, when two rival groups protesting for and against the recent bill passed by Edo State House of Assembly, amending the Pension bill which gave N200 million and N100 million worth of houses to past governors of the state and their deputies including Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his Deputy, Dr Pius Odubu, clashed at the popular Oba Ovonramwe Square, Benin City.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, yesterday, dismissed the Senate’s resolution asking the Federal Government to establish dry or inland ports in Enugu, Onitsha and Aba, all in the South-East geo-political zone, saying the resolution amount to nothing if there was no cash backing for its execution.
