MAIDUGURI—THE Chairman of Gubio Local Government Area, Borno State, Zanna Gubio, and the Acting Commander of 5 Brigade of Operation Lafiya Dole, Colonel Dangana, have confirmed that eight suicide bombers, who attempted to invade Gubio, headquarters of the local government were killed by troops yesterday.

The incident took place at 9:30a.m., when eight suicide bombers with Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, strapped to their bodies, attempted to invade the town, which is about 150 kilometres North of Maiduguri, in an SUV.
