Earl Onaiwu

THE National leadership of All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] has constituted a three-man disciplinary committee to investigate anti-party allegations levelled against the suspended Edo State chairman of the party, Elder Godfrey Ehimen.
It would be recalled that the leadership crisis which rocked the party last week took a different dimension when the national chairman, Victor Oye, ordered the immediate suspension of the executive members and consequently put in place a 20 man interim Ad-hoc Election Committee
National vice chairman of the party, South- South, Ogbueshi Tony Eboka who addressed journalists said the party has no intention of fronting for any other political party and re-affirmed that Osaro Onaiwu, remains the governorship candidate and would be contesting the rescheduled poll on Wednesday, September 28th
Part of the communiqué issued by the committee reads; ”That in line with APGA constitution the state chairman, Elder Godfrey Ehimen remains suspended indefinitely from office pending the investigation and report of the allegation against him.’’
‘’That people masquerading as APGA members negotiating and soliciting for fund from political parties for the Edo governorship election are disgruntled and faceless persons looking for bread and butter.’’
Consequently, the party appointed Maxi Emmanuel Ani and Barrister Frank-Gold Oikerhe as interim state chairman and secretary of the party respectively.
