The Ijaws of Delta State, yesterday, inaugurated the executive of  Meinbutus Federated Communities Ogbe-Ijoh,  Warri to work with the Federal and State governments to promote peace, unity and eliminate any form of oppression and marginalization.

During the inauguration, the Ijaws promised to use dialogue to resolve any disagreement between the people and government as well ensure that there would be peaceful resolution of any crisis in the region and Nigeria at large.

Addressing the Ijaws and guests, the new chairman, Lot Loyibo said his mandate was to maintain peace, work with the government, oil multinational companies and other agencies to ensure that the Niger Delta region remains peaceful.
