LOKOJA – The Kogi State House of Assembly has postponed today’s plenary sitting to Thursday due to the death of the State Minister for Labour and Productivity, James Ocholi.

The clerk of the House, Mr. Tseja Sheidu in a statement Monday in Lokoja said the directive was from the Speaker of the House, Umar Imam, “The Rt. Hon Speaker of the House by virtue of the powers conferred on him by Order 4 (2) of the Standing Rules of th House has directed that the sitting of the House earlier adjourned to Tuesday 8th March, 2016 be postpone and members are now to reconvene on the floor of the House on Thursday 10 March, 2016 at 10.00 prompt.

“This is to enable the House mourn the death of our illustrious son, an icon, the Honourable Minister of Labour and Productivity, James Ocholi whose sad event took place yesterday (Sunday) March 6, 2016 in a ghastly accident.
