The President of Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), Jacob Makia has said that the wrestling contest between Powerlee of Nigeria and Buffalo of Angola will no longer be rescheduled as May 1 remains the deadline for the fact that the bout has been postponed four times.

In a letter titled “Re- return of Glory Wrestling championship tagged; Asaba 2016” made a available to newsmen, Makia specifically stated that Powerlee is the current PWA African heavyweight champion and must defend his title unfailingly on May 1, 2016.
“Failing to defend the title against Marvelous Buffalo of Angola, the number three contender on the said date, will be stripped off the title and presented to Michel Noundem, the opponent Powerlee defeated to win the title September last year in Cameroon,” he said.
Makia further disclosed that the decisions of the management board of the African wrestling organization towards this contest is not a threat, but it is the standard of the pro wrestling Africa which serves as the mouthpiece of African pro wrestling.
Reacting to the letter, Powerlee assured his fans that there is no going back on May 1st fight, noting that he was battle ready to defend the title.
He said: “I want to assure you that I am battle ready to defend the title I won last year in Cameroon. There is no going back on May 1st.”
