Resign, join politics, Edo Majority Leader tells IG

BENIN—MAJORITY Leader of Edo State House of Assembly and House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Etsako federal constituency, Edo State, Mr Philip Shaibu, has accused the Inspector General of Police, Mr Suleiman Abba of being a stooge of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, urging him to resign his position and join politics. He said the IG’s comment that Nigerians should cast their votes and leave the polling units was an indication that the IG was allegedly working with “enemies of democracy to rig the elections.”
