PORT HARCOURT—About five persons reportedly lost their lives in a clash between two communities in Tai Local Government Area in the early hours of yesterday.

Details at press time were hazy, but community sources said Police had moved into the areas to restore order.

When contacted, state acting Police spokesman, ASP Grace Koko, confirmed the crisis, saying it was between Kpogor and a neighbouring community.

According to her, the two communities have been involved in an age-long hostilities, and that the Police had restored peace in the area.
