Christian Chukwu has tipped the Flying Eagles to win the AYC trophy.

Nigeria, with 10-men for the better part of the match, defeated Congo 4-1 on Wednesdayto sail through to the semifinal of the Africa Youth Championship and secure a place at the FIFA U20 World Cup.

And Chukwu believes the Nigerian lads have shown enough to see them go all the way.

“Those boys are very good,” he began. “They have been playing so well and kudos must go to Manu Garba and Nduka Ugbade for building such a team.

“The way they beat the Senegalese and also the Congolese even with 10-men is quite impressive and I think they have shown enough that they can actually go all the way to win the competition,” he said

The former Super Eagles coach however, goes on to advice the team against any complacency.

“They mustn’t be complacent because they have qualified to the World Cup because that could be their greatest undoing but I really see them going all the way to win this tournament.”
