Jos — A member of the House of Representatives representing Jos South/Jos East federal constituency, Bitrus Kaze had accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, of lying to Nigerians over its claims that it had appealed against the decision of the Federal High Court which asked 37 of its members in the House of Representatives to resign for defecting from the Peoples Democratic  Party, PDP, to APC.

Kaze said “As at the time they (APC) addressed the press on Tuesday, no one had obtained the court judgement. APC could not have filed an appeal against Justice Ademola’s judgement which declared the seats of the defected lawmakers in the House vacant. The claims are “completely false and totally misleading.”

He said that since the APC members could not approach the Court of Appeal without first obtaining the High Court judgement, ‘’they resorted to flaunting a letter from their lawyer signifying their intention to appeal and this alone does not qualify as an appeal.”

He further said, “Depressed by the daunting reality of losing some seats and thereby further depleting their bogus numbers, the APC Caucus in their characteristic haste to wilfully deceive

Nigerians forgot that as members of the PDP  and Principal Officers of the House, both Speaker Aminu Tambuwal and his deputy, Emeka Ihedioha were favoured by the High Court judgement, and therefore had no reason whatsoever to institute any appeal.

“Fortunately, during our executive session last Wednesday both of them categorically denied being
