Telecommunications giant and leading sponsor of football in Nigeria, Globacom has called on the home based Super Eagles to go all out and do the nation proud by qualifying for the finals of the on-going African Nations Championship in South Africa.

The Super Eagles will lock horns with the Black Stars of Ghana in the second Semi final match of the Championship in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.

In a statement in Lagos on Tuesday, Globacom commended the fighting spirit of the Nigerian players and tasked the technical crew to evolve ways to motivate the team to go all the way.

“The resilience of the Eagles and their coaching crew in the face of odds is worth commending, especially after the team Telecommunications giant and leading sponsor of football in Nigeria, Globacom has called on the home based Super Eagles to go all out and do the nation proud by qualifying for the finals of the on-going African Nations Championship in South Africa.

In a statement in Lagos on Tuesday, Globacom commended the fighting spirit of the Nigerian players and tasked the technical crew to evolve ways to motivate the team to go all the way.

“The resilience of the Eagles and their coaching crew in the face of odds is worth commending, especially after the team came back to win the quarter final match against Morocco.

“We reckon with the great fighting spirit which the team has so far demonstrated, especially against South Africa and Morocco, and we believe that such spirit will help the team to achieve the ultimate goal of not only qualifying for the Finals but lifting the trophy as well,” Globacom added.

Globacom praised the coaching crew led by Stephen Keshi, adding that   “We have confidence in the team that they will not fail this great nation “, the statement said, urging them to work really harder.

The telecommunications company also commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for ensuring adequate motivation for the Eagles, and football-loving Nigerians for their steadfast support for the team so far.

Globacom is the major partner of the Nigeria Football Federation and official sponsor of Nigerian national teams.
