BENIN—Residents of Benin metropolis, Edo State, trooped out to applaud the developmental strides of the state governor, Mr  Adams Oshiomhole, during his inspection tour in some parts of Benin City, the state capital, yesterday .

The residents showered praises on the governor and thanked God for sparing his life in an auto crash. The governor inspected the level of compliance with the state’s sanitation laws at Oba Market, New Benin market and New Lagos Road. The residents said the governor had performed beyond their expectations.

Mrs. Mary Igbinovia, who resides on Igbinaduwa Street, expressed appreciation to the governor for his timely intervention in the erosion problem which had been a menace in the area. She said before the governor’s intervention, a number of lives had been lost to erosion in the area.
