LAGOS—WITH unanimity, eminent Nigerians yesterday decried the poor achievements of the government in 2012 and urged President Goodluck Jonathan to improve the lot of the citizenry with good governance in 2013.

IT was challenging making choices in a year that left you with few options. All the unimpressive issues were thrown up when we were to make the choices, they were clear markers of the sort of year Nigerians had.

The electricity sector was characterized by a pot pouri of events in 2012. As the privatisation of the sector was fine-tuned for a smooth sail, the labour unions in the sector continued with their agitations for the Federal Government to do the needful with regard to workers welfare and other issues bordering on the privatisation process.
