The greatest advantage Muslim parents have over their children is the existence of Quranic verses and Prophetic hadiths that remind us of how we should treat our parents; of how they should be cared for when they grow old. Sadly, however, sometimes parents use this as the most effective way of emotionally blackmailing or manipulating their children to achieve their own desires and whims.

Mr Adeyemi Ikuforiji, the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), has commended the Nigeria Police Force for its prompt rescue of a kidnapped prominent cleric.
Ikuforiji made the commendation in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rotimi Adebayo, on Thursday in Lagos.

Some Nigerian pilgrims performing the Christian pilgrimage in Israel on Christmas day said that they missed celebrating Christmas with their families and friends in Nigeria.
