ABAKALIKI- THE Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Mr. Otaru Eshimakhe, Tuesday decried the slow pace of development in Ebonyi State.

He called on the state government to ensure accelerated development of the state which, according to him, will improve the quality of lives of its citizens.

Eshimakhe stated this in Abakaliki during the inaugural meeting of the 2012 Service Year Community Development State-wide Joint Planning meeting.

He explained that Community Development Service was one of the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC scheme designed to harness the skills, creativity and innovativeness of the youths into effective machinery for national development.
