WRPC donates science lab block to school

WARRI— Management of Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company, WRPC, has donated a modern science laboratory block to Ubeji Secondary School in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State as part of its corporate social responsibility projects for its host communities.

WRPC, Tuesday, charged the Principal and staff of the school to ensure maximum use of the facility. It noted that the building was for the production of scientists and engineers, who would lead the country to the desired technological heights.

WRPC Managing Director, Mr. Simon Ehiemua, who was represented by the company’s Mainte-nance Manager, Mr. Omini-Omini Osong, stressed the importance of science education and advised students of the benefiting school to “take full advantage of the laboratory and also take their studies seriously and avoid all anti-social vices.”

Principal of the school (Senior Secondary), Mrs. Omawumi Ayu, appealed to WRPC to help the school further by equipping the laboratory with necessary equipment.
