BENIN CITY-THE Benin monarch, Oba Erediauwa has commended Governor Adams Oshiomhole over what he described as his efforts in transforming the state since his inception in office.

The Oba who made the commendation when the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar paid him a courtesy visit at his palace, commended the NLC for producing talents for the nation and their doggedness in fighting the cause of the masses, adding that Oshiomhole has not disappointed the people of the state.

While commending the NLC leadership for visiting his palace, the revered monarch assured them of his blessings throughout their deliberations in the state, recalling that “the last time you were in my palace, it was with the governor (Adams Oshiomhole), who then was your President. Since then, he (Oshiomhole) has gone on to what he is today, and he has transformed the state. The rest all of you can see. Labour has offered a lot in the past and I ask you to continue being good ambassadors for the people”.

Speaking earlier, Comrade Omar who explained that they were in the state for their National Administrative Council meeting, solicited for the blessings of the Oba, just as he expressed appreciation to the monarch for his continuous support to the administration of Governor Oshiomhole.

He appealed further that “now that elections are at the corner again, we also want to plead for your support. We know that because of your blessings and support, this administration has been able to impact positively changes in the state. We are grateful to you and we will continue to appeal for your support”.
