Indomie partners LEARN, excites pupils with free lunch on Summer lesson

In its renewed effort to support education in the state, Indomie in its partnership with Lagos State Government especially on education, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Nigeria’s No. 1 noodles brand Indomie Instant Noodles has entered into agreement with the Lagos Empowerment and Resource Network (LEARN) an initiative of the First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola to provide free lunch for students attending the summer school across the six districts running from August 1, to September 10, 2011.

According to the Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Temitope Ashiwaju, partnership is in line with the focus of the company’s corporate social responsibility that place high priority on educational development of Nigerian children.

“As a brand, Indomie is well known as one of the foremost brands with immense contribution to the development of education at all levels. We are committed to it because education is a legacy we owe our children because children are the future of tomorrow, he said.

Ashiwaju commended the Lagos State First Lady, Her Excellency; Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola for this noble initiative that will help the children during their holiday instead of being idle.

Project Manager LEARN, Mrs. Bisi Awoyomi commended Dufil Prima Foods for this support which she described as very strategic and very helpful as the pupils can now concentrate on their studies at the summer school without having to be in a rush home for lunch.

“This partnership has brought excitement on the face of the children having been assured of free lunch during the summer holiday lessons, and this in a way will help them concentrate on what they are being taught.
