By Marvellous Cyril-Ajudeonu

It was jubilation galore on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Darman Model College Lagos,as the school held her 8th valedictory ceremony for 2010/2011 junior and senior graduands.

The school graduates both the JSS 3 students who are heading to the senior class and the SSS 3 students who have been nurtured to face a greater challenge.

Both parents and staff were there to share in the joy of the students, especially the SSS 3 students who were very glad and grateful to God that at last, after all the struggle of six years they are able to scale through and are surging ahead for a brighter and more challenging future.

The students left behind were also encouraged by the gifts/ awards given to those who have studied hard and put what they have learnt into good use. The best student in each subject was given something to take home, so as to serve as an encouragement to strive harder, coming session.

The others who received nothing were also encouraged to work harder so that it will be their turn next time.

The principal, Mr Adebanjo during his report/ speech, appreciated the SSS 3 graduating students on their moral conduct and good academic performance during their stay in the school.

He advised that they should be of good behavior no matter where they go and distant themselves from any anti-social behaviour when they go into higher institution.

To our graduating students, I sincerely appreciate your good academic and moral discipline while with us. Conduct yourselves in a responsible manner as worthy ambassadors of Darman Model College.
