WARRI – THE Delta Ijaw Mandate for Uduaghan has commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for the appointment of the former Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Chief Funkekeme Solomon, as Commissioner for Works.

The group, in a statement by its national coordinator, Mallam Yusuf Eregbene, described Funkekeme’s appointment as a wise decision, stressing that the appointment will enhance rapid development in the state.

It thanked the governor for the gesture, noting that as a Commissioner, Funkekeme would set an unprecedented record of development and youth’s empowerment in the state.

The group assured that Funkekeme’s wealth of experience in various capacities in the state will enable  him to contribute towards achieving Uduaghan’s goal of developing the state.
