BRF trounce Early Start 3-1

BRF Football Academy at the weekend defeated Early Start Football Academy 3-1 in a match that climaxed activities of Shell Nigeria Eploration and Production Company organised 2011  Children’s Day celebration at the Campos Mini stadium, Lagos.

The match which was played under a heavy downpour saw BRF boys rattle their Early Start FA counterparts in the opening minute with a move that almost resulted in a goal.

As soon as the two teams settled for business, the youthful players who were barely between ages seven and eleven entertained with sizzling moves and good dribbling runs. Their skills bellied their innocence and the crowd cheered their every move.

Early Start  opened scores mid-way into the first half through Ismaila Balogun. BRF replied with two quick goals before the end of the first stanza.

On resumption for the second half BRF continued their domination and increased the tally to 3-1 just before the end of the entertaining encounter.

It was a memorable day for the over three hundred kids, representing ten selected schools, parents and guardians that thronged the venue. The deputy governor of Lagos State, Mrs Adejoke Oreleope-Adefulire who was represented by Mrs Alaba Fadairo charged the pupils avoid bad company and shun all vices as the nation looked up to them as future leaders.

Top management staff of SNEPCo led by its Managing Director, Chike Onyejekwe also graced the event which was marked with cultural dances and drama by the school children.
