Chinedum Samuel Okorie a.ka. So- J has emerged winner of the maiden edition of Top Talent competition organized by Eldee da Don. His soulful R&B song, So Special gave him an impressive edge over the other contestants.

So-J emerged the winner of the competition having got the highest number of votes among the top ten finalists. He earned 30% of all the votes and was followed closely by K9 who scored 17% votes. The voting process was strictly online.

For his feat, So-J will be working with Eldee on his next mix tape, Is It Your Money, Vol 2 and will automatically get a record deal offer from Trybe Records.

The contract papers are currently being sorted out and will be made available to the artiste next week.

Eldee described Top Talent as a platform for unsigned Nigerian artistes of all walks to showcase their talents. The contest required unsigned talents to enter an mp3 song for free by sending an email with their song attached.

Aside signing the winner to Trybe Records, Eldee offered to promote the 20 finalists for free in order to launch them to wider audience. He said this will further help to increase their fan base and connect them to would-be investors who believe in their talent.
