The just concluded delegates’ primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra North senatorial zone was yesterday trailed by controversy as stakeholders in the area protested alleged irregularities in the exercise.

Thursday’s re-run election in Delta State is undoubtedly a referendum on the three and a half year tenure of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan as Governor of the oil rich State. As it is popularly said, actions speak louder than words and so, Dr. Uduaghan’s actions while he was in office between May 2007 and November 2010 would speak louder than any word that the legions of his supporters are saying for him.

The Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, candidate for the governorship re-run election in Delta State, Chief Great Ogboru, has called on traditional rulers and stakeholders in the state to always stand by the truth, no matter whose ox was gored “as that is the way to restore our dignity as a people.”
