WARRI—IN consonant with President Jonathan Goodluck’s endorsement of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, candidate of the Peoples’Democratic Party, PDP, in today’s re-run election in Delta State, former militant groups have also given their nod to Uduaghan.
This was revealed to Journalists, yesterday, by General Israel Akpodoro, Vice Chairman, Delta State Former Militants, in Warri. According to him “we the former militants support Uduaghan. We want him again so that he can complete his tenure and be able to fulfill his promises to us. These are the reasons why we are here. We support Uduaghan and so will Deltans to support him.
“Thursday (Today) is the re-run election. We believe every youth, women and former militants would work to ensure peace in this state. We want free and fair election. One man one vote is what we want in this state. Uduaghan is the man we want. We don’t want new person. We don’t need beginner. We need old person and that person is Uduaghan because he understand the game,” Akpodoro said.
“In the state, anybody that has been settled by Uduaghan must work for him. Those who have collected money from him and want to work against him will be used as example for others to learn,” he added.
Those who are saying that the money is our state and the want to collect from him and not going to support must be informed that we will not leave the person because that means the person is the only causing problem in this state.”
