After all the back and forth, the wrangling and disagreements, it was quite pleasing to see chairman Owumi on Lagos television say all was well. Also instructive is his assertion that fellow board member Baribote was flowing along and that he “ has so far attended two matches as an assessor”.

JTF converts Boyloaf’s Ezetu militant camp to military base

The military Joint Task Force, JTF, has converted the Ezetu stronghold of the former Movement for Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, Commander, Ebikabowei Victor-Ben popularly known as General Boyloaf to a military base just as it pleaded with traditional rulers and community heads to assist the troops engaged in military action against recent cases of kidnapping and terrorism in the arrest of re-grouping militants.

Lagos doctors suspend 14 weeks old strike

The leadership of Medical Guild in Lagos public hospitals yesterday announced the suspension of the 14 weeks old strike for a period of five days to allow the state government implement the “mutual agreement’” newly reached at their last meeting.
