Lagos State House of Assembly, in the early hours of yesterday, lost a lawmaker, Rotimi Sotomiwa. The late lawmaker was Chairman, ad hoc Committee on Special Duties.
His death was announced in a press release by the Information/Public Relations Unit of the House, yesterday.
Deputy Speaker, Bola Badmus-Olujobi, who led the delegation from the House to commiserate with the family at Igbogbo, expressed the regret of the house and assured the family of the House support during the burial.
Reacting to the death of the lawmaker, Sanai Agubidade, who also represents Ikorodu Constituency, said: “it was unfortunate that we lost him. He could not attend his birthday on the 23rd of October, but he was a jolly good fellow.”
Agubiade further described his colleague has a grassroot politician, who was a benefactor to many. He wished the family and well wishers the fortitude to bear the loss
On his part, Majority Leader, Taiwo Kolawole, said “it is unfortunate and shocking, we lost him and l am short of words”
