The form  the Super Falcons exhibited against their Camerounian counterparts in the semi final of the on-going African Women Championship startled the Secretary General of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Tunde Popoola, who described the 5-1 scoreline as “awesome”.

Popoola who expressed happiness over the good run the Falcons have had so far said although he was not surprised at the victory over Cameroun but what he did not envisage was the scoreline.

“I knew they would win but the manner of victory was exceptional,” the NOC scribe said.“With the semi final behind us, the trophy is the next target. I know they will bring the cup to Nigeria and go ahead to do well at the World Cup,” Popoola predicted.
