ASABA—Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has listed five key challenges to  CBN’s commitment to rapid economic development of the country, which he said needed to be addressed urgently.
Delivering a lecture in Asaba, weekend, titled Consolidating the Gains of the Banking Sector Reforms, the CBN Governor said, “economic growth has been robust, however, major challenges remain.â€
He listed them to include physical infrastructure constraints, inadequate access to finance, investment climate, existence of skill gap and high cost of inputs.
On physical infrastructure challenge, he said, “there is need to deepen the deregulation process to attract private investors. There is need to review allocation of responsibility for infrastructure development among different levels of government.â€
