4 docked over certificates forgery

LAGOS—Four middle-aged men  have been arraigned before a Yaba Magistrate Court, Lagos, over alleged conspiracy and alterations of West African Examinations Council, WAEC, certificates designed to secure admissions into various tertiary institutions.

The young men, Kabiru Shitta, Gabriel Akoda Aseda, Kola Odusanya and Abiodun Adereti, were allegedly caught at the Myoung Barrack, Mammy market, Yaba, for allegedly altering WAEC Certificates numbers 0878487,2780597 and 324712.

The offences leveled against them were said to be contrary to and punishable under Section 468 of the Criminal Code, Cap. 17 vol.11, laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2003.

In the count charge leveled against them, they were said to have acted to conspire together  to commit felony to with-forgery and alteration and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap.17 Vol.11, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria.
