UK Makeup artist Storms Ibadan

Having excelled in the Make-Up and Headgear business in the United Kingdom, Juliet Esiri, C.E.O of De Paragon Makeovers (UK) is set to storm  the city of Ibadan, Nigeria with a Day intensive training on make-up.

The training  scheduled to hold at The Syndicate Room, Premier Hotel, Ibadan on Wednesday June 30, is aimed at teaching  aspiring make-up artistes the art of  makeover.  “I have enjoyed the training I got and I know there are so many people out there who want to be professionally trained too. Hence, I have decided to come back home and train others.”

Asked why she decided to organize the training in Ibadan,  she said “I was born in Ibadan, spent the early part of my life in Ibadan, I grew up to love Ibadan and looking back to my years at Ibadan, I can’t help but to come back and make a positive impact in the City that I was born and grew up in” Participants at the one day training will be trained on make-up and the art of tying exquisite traditional gele..“I have a very strong passion and it is putting smiles on people’s faces. So by training others well, I get to put smiles on their faces and subsequently, on the faces of their clients.”

De paragon Makeovers is an arm of Okin Arewa, the beauty outfit owned by London based ‘Gele’ maestro, Juliet Esiri. Okin Arewa was established in 2007 and in that short while has succeeded in spreading its tentacles of success all over the United Kingdom and major parts of Europe.

Juliet’s Gele and touch of excellence is the delight of every bride and celebrant and according to her “the demand for my services is so high especially in Nigeria so I decided to train Nigerians my art”.Juliet’s love for make-up dates back to when she was in her teenage years.

“I would usually sit in front of my mum’s mirror and make myself up then I would go ahead to tie her old head ties. As I grew older, the interest waned but was reawakened when I met the US renowned Segun Gele who perfected my art with thorough training.”

Juliet Esiri was born in Ibadan; she attended Our Lady Of Apostles Secondary grammar school, Maryway Odo- Ona Ibadan then proceeded  to the London Metropolitan University where she obtained a degree in Law, with an additional  degree in Social Work at Havering College.Juliet’s Makeover  training kicks off in  Ibadan but will move to other cities soon.
