A Chieftain of Action Congress (AC) in Edo State, Chief Evelyn Igbafe, has described the former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Mike Ogiadomhe, as a lightweight and an inconsistent politician.
In a statement, Chief Igbafe said “Chief Mike Ogiadomhe cannot profess to be closer to the grassroots than myself and his eight years as deputy governor of Edo State could best be described as wasted period for the people of Etsako Central in particular and Edo State in general.â€
She stated this in reaction to a statement credited to Chief Ogiadomhe where he was quoted to have said that the people of Etsako Central should not be afraid of Chief Igbafe’s defection to AC and that her presence would not affect the fortunes of the PDP in the 23 January Etsako Central re-run polls.
Chief Igbafe said, “those who assisted him to climb to the top of the ladder of political, economic and social successes in life, he had betrayed. It is on this note that I call on Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan to be wary of him.â€
“I urge the good people of Etsako Central not to pay their slightest attention to Chief Ogiadomhe because he is a persona-non-grata in the politics of Etsako Central in particular and Edo State in general.â€
