I WAS tempted before the November 16, gubernatorial elections in Kogi State to suggest that incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello should simply be given a second term as elections were unnecessary. This would have saved us the enormous funds wasted in the elections. Those killed before, during and after the elections, might still have been alive. Those maimed and scarred for life, buildings burnt and property destroyed might have been averted.

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has cast his vote in Saturday’s governorship election in the state.  The governor voted at Agaza/Ahachi Okene ward 07 polling unit 11 at 8.44 a.m. The governor, who voted alongside his wife, is representing the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Kogi election.    

A suit challenging whether the Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello, is fit to contest for the Nov. 16 governorship election in the state will tomorrow, Friday, come up at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
