Chairman of Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, Chief Elias Mbam, has commended the efforts of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, towards revenue generation, stating that the agency contributed 59.7 per cent revenues to Federation Account in the last three months.

A bill for an Act to amend the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission Act, RMAFC,  Chapter R7, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 to empower the Commission to disburse the revenue accrued in the Federation Account to the three tiers of Government in the source currency component (dollar and naira) of the Federation Account, yesterday scaled the second reading.

 The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), as part of its efforts to boost revenue accruals into the federation account, has recovered N57.7 billion unremitted revenues from collecting banks.
